It would be true to say that on request you always responded promptly in a very pleasant and professional manner with visits to site to see and understand our requirement for the tunnel.

You have dealt with a variety of jobs for us with good quality results sometimes in very tight timescales which is important to the wind tunnel where delays can be very costly.

If I were not leaving the Tunnel on retirement I would be more than happy to continue working with Target Design s on future projects mainly because of their approach to the work (a personal service)  the speed at which first draft / plans are produced and also at a competitive cost.

"Target Designs (TD) have undertaken design work for me over a period of 20 years, often working alongside the company’s in house design office. Whilst working at National Gas Turbine Establishment – Pyestock, an aero gas turbine engine test site, TD provided much of the design effort to support the installation of aero gas turbines within numerous large altitude test facilities for both civil and military jet engine testing.

The work here was very diverse: large and small diameter process pipe systems (0.5- 84), compressed air, fuel, water, steam, oils etc.; engine installation hardware for large civil fan engines, cooling systems for high temperature military engine exhausts on full reheat; pressure vessels, lifting equipment etc.

In more recent years, TD have undertaken design work for processing plant and systems in support of a nanomaterial production facility. This again involved platform structures with ladders, lifting equipment, plant modification, pressure vessels and process systems including cooling water, compressed air, exhausts etc.
The company have always been very competitive, working to tight timescales and have always delivered a quality design.

They work to all the latest British and European standards as applicable to the task in hand, working methodically with the client to ensure a satisfactory outcome, often incorporating some innovative ideas to solve complex problems. Thoroughly recommended!"

The Met Office
"The Met Office involvement with Target Designs stretches back almost 25 years.  Target Designs know and understand our business needs well and their expertise is often called upon to help with challenging problems. 

The Met Office drawings database contains around 17000 diverse drawings and we could not maintain such a diverse library without referring to the expertise available from Target Designs in terms of applicable standards and best practice.

Recently we have undertaken significant design modifications to our Surface Observing Network as part of our Met Monitoring System project.  Target Designs were engaged early on in this process and due to their diligent and professional approach were able to offer help and suggested improvements along the way.  This help is always forthcoming, whatever the job, in short a great service."
